What Types of Volunteers Are Eligible to Join Our Program?

Our volunteers come from all over the world, the only requirements being the ability to speak English and a keen interest in helping. To become a volunteer teacher, we do not require a teaching certificate or any teaching experience, or even require being a native speaker.
Key Requirement: We do require that you speak English to an advanced level, with a clear accent. We ask this because we hope to give our students the best quality experience and education that they can get.

Group Volunteering
Roots-Leaves Volunteer Laos has always loved catering for groups of volunteers. Most of our groups choose to work alongside our individual volunteers on existing projects however we also offer the opportunity for groups to create bespoke projects.
Recent Group Projects:
- High school students: 2-week teaching and construction programs
- International school partnerships for student exchanges
- ISC/ODYSSEY "Term Break" - returning for 2+ years
- Excelia Business School, France - repeat visits
- Small groups of 6-7 friends/family volunteering together
