Volunteer Teaching in Laos

Welcome to The English Club Laos, a community learning project founded by Roots & Leaves Volunteer Laos. Our community is located on peaceful temple grounds in the heart of Luang Prabang. While based within a temple area, it operates as a community school open to everyone, and we warmly welcome monks to join our classes whenever their schedules allow. .

Students come from diverse backgrounds, some are still in school, while others have completed or left state education. Most are at a beginner level, but we also offer elementary and pre-intermediate classes.

All our volunteers work alongside Lao teachers in the classrooms assist with three to four classes per day, working closely with our local teachers to make learning engaging, practical, and enjoyable. Through their time and effort, volunteers help create new opportunities for students and make a lasting difference in our community.
