Program Overview

Joining Roots-Leaves volunteer Laos for a voluntary internship is a chance for you to make a difference in the world. Internship Program is a very useful teaching change for interns with education experience to learn and understand the fundamental concepts of teaching in a class and gain some teaching experience in their preferred profession. we do not require a teaching certificate or any teaching experience.  The program is designed for students (undergraduate or graduate) to gain practical, hands-on experience in a specific field and teaching internship program interns are expected to be flexible and patient and each intern is expected to work 4 to 6 hours per day. Monday to Friday, supporting the teachers and students during the different classes and delivering English lessons using a variety of techniques, including playing games and singing songs.

Internships are a minimum of 2 months in duration and can be up to 3 months, while student placements are normally 2-3 months.

Program Requirements

  • Internships are available for high school (all grades), college and university students.
  • All interns are required to have adequate travel insurance.
  • To show respect for the local culture and customs in Laos.
  • Interns are applying to join this program will be required Emergency contact, Police check and Resume.

Program Fee

Two months (8 Weeks): $1,600 per term; Three months (12 Weeks): $2,200 per term and with us there is no registration fee.
  • Includes: Around transfer, Orientation & full safety briefing, Support from long term experienced staff, all necessary project training by experienced staff, Accommodations in a shared room with air conditioning, workshops with other intern participants ,3 Meals per day, certification of hours completed, 24-hour in-country support, Outdoor activities and Donation to the Community.
